Gareth Robinson - Joe Calzaghe boxing fanHi, My name is Gareth Robinson. I am a long time boxing fan having watched it from a young age. The first fight I remember was way back in 1985 when Barry Mc Guigan fought and beat Eusebio Pedroza to win the WBA World Featherweight title. Since then I have been hooked and have followed the careers of a number of boxers over the years including Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn and Naseem Hamed I have followed Joe's career for over 10 years now and am a long time fan. Not just because I am from Wales but also because he comes across as a decent, unassuming person. So many fighters are brash and arrogant yet he manages to just get the job done and I think only now in past 18 months he is getting some of the credit he deserves. I have written this site with the single aim of providing all the best information I can find about the upcoming bout between Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones Junior. I trawl all the forums and newsites and put the best video,images and articles that I can find here. I am hoping the site will be regarded as a credible resource. I have watched all of Calzaghe's fights since the Eubank win in 1997 and have also attended some of his bouts including the recent one between Joe and Peter Manfredo Jr in April 2007.
